Trempealeau County
Community Preparedness In the Fall of 2010, Trempealeau
County was challenged in its preparedness as flooding
occurred in many areas of the county. The flooding was
a test for all who have practiced at table top or functional
exercises. It allowed us as community members to put
to use the tools we have learned and to use the incident as
a training tool for improvement. The community
members of the county rose to the occasion working long
hours to provide a safe environment for the individuals
evacuated and/or affected by the flooding. I would
like to thank all the county residents for their
participation and support during the flood challenge in
September 2010. We all learned lessons from the flood
experience and next time we will be better prepared. |
