Trempealeau County has been zoned since 1972. In 1972 all fifteen Towns in the County adopted the 1972 County Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. Therefore, unincorporated areas (towns) in the County are zoned. The Trempealeau County Zoning and Planning Departments have been in the process of revising the 1972 Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. A revised Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance has been developed and has been adopted by the Trempealeau County Board of Supervisors. Several of the Towns that have completed land use plans have adopted the revised Trempealeau County Zoning Ordinance. The revised Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is in effect in the following Towns:
