MINUTES 

Trempealeau County Personnel/Bargaining Committee 

August 9, 2007 

 

Committee Chair Raymond Seiler called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. in the Wisconsin Room of the 
Courthouse in Whitehall, Wisconsin. 

 

The open meeting law requirements were met.

Motion by Barbara Semb and seconded by Douglas Winters to adopt the agenda. Motion carried 
unanimously. 

 

Motion by Douglas Winters and seconded by Dick Miller to approve the minutes of the July 17, 2007 
meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Health Insurance Bids 

Dana Conrad reported that bids were opened on July 26th. Five bids were received, representing four 
companies. The work group will meet again on August 30th for further discussion after the members have a 
chance to look them over. They are hoping the State rates will be released by then. 

 

Closed Session per WI Stat. 19.85(1)(c) and (e) to Consider Employment, Promotion, Compensation or 
Performance Evaluation Data and to Discuss Bargaining Strategies in Connection with Union Contracts 
where Competitive or Bargaining Reasons Require a Closed Session 

Motion by Charles Zauner and seconded by Douglas Winters at 3:07 p.m. to go into closed cession per 
WI Stat. 19.85(1)(c) and (e) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance 
evaluation data and to discuss bargaining strategies in connection with union contracts where 
competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Reconvene Into Open Session 

The Committee reconvened into open session at 5:06 p.m. The following motion was made in closed session: 

 

Motion by Charles Zauner and seconded by Dick Miller to reconvene into open session. Motion carried 
unanimously. 

 

The next meeting was set for August 30, 2007 at 4:30 p.m. 

 

Motion by Barbara Semb and seconded by Douglas Winters to adjourn the meeting at 5:10 p.m. Motion 
carried unanimously.
