Honor Guard

In 2007, during Sheriff Richard Anderson first term, deputies approached the Sheriff about the importance and need for an Honor Guard Team to represent Law Enforcement in Trempealeau County. Department members worked with Sheriff Anderson to form this team.

Sheriff Anderson wants to make sure that tribute is paid for the sacrifice made by officers that have given their lives in the line of duty and to honor our military personnel that have served this great country.

The team consists of six members that have been trained in basic marching drills, flag etiquette, ceremonial rifle and police funeral procedures.

The team will also be used for funerals to memorialize the life of a retired police officer and to show honor to the flag of the United States of America in various events.
